Finding Your True North
I must say that I am impressed and greatly satisfied with the audio book, True North. The content is presented by two gentlemen that understand and grasp the importance of presenting what can be complex concepts in layman terms.
From beginning to end (I have listened to the audio four time already) I gathered nuggets of wealth that I was able to identify with which helped me to understand myself and personality traits. I will definitely be looking into purchasing a personality profile to gain a better and deeper understanding. The definition of the themes passion, values, traits and personal experiences comingled makes this audio book a resource that anyone can go back to time and time again. The “roughness” and “unscripted” presentation is also appealing because it presents the material in a more authentic and practical manner. It made me feel like I was participating in the process while it was evolving.
As a believer in Christ, I appreciate the faith component shared although it was not overwhelming but relevant. Congratulations! You have captured my attention, following and most of all you have inspired me to continue “pursuing my calling”.
Pastor Santos Auli “Sam”
True North is a fabulous audio book. If I had to sum it up in six words I’d say “It is a Catalyst for Hope.” After listening to the audio book and prayerfully considering the guidance of Howard Sheppard and Brent Green, I felt “un-stuck,” so to speak. It opened up all kinds of ideas – and I loved the examples given by Howard and Brent. Like a great Pastor who preaches a message you feel is only for you, Howard and Brent give candid personal accounts of things gone wrong in their lives that will make you laugh, fill you with hope and challenge you to look within yourself to the greatness and passion God made you with. Brent and Howard’s personality differences show how those things can work cohesively and with balance. I have listened to the audio book many times and each time I get new ideas and thought-provoking dialogue that leaves my heart uplifted.
At 43, working in the automotive industry in Detroit, I felt “stuck”… although gainfully employed, I was miserable. Within the first half hour of the audio book I had to laugh, as I realized why. It was a terribly wrong fit for me and went against many of my morals and values. After digging deeper into the book I found things becoming clearer – and when the company I worked for announced that they were moving the Detroit operations to their Tennessee headquarters, I was armed with the tools to find a terrific new job. I had clarity, direction, a fabulous list of ‘no compromises’ of morals/values. My new job is a blessing and a stepping stone towards my true calling. I owe it all to the catalyst of hope I found in “True North.” I will be forever indebted to the ‘family’ at Leadership Equip. God may not yet be blessing them with immense monetary wealth in their roles helping others, but I bet their hearts are overflowing in abundance at the thought of the lives they’ve touched and changed because they’ve pursued their calling. They can help you too, get un-stuck – and find hope.
Humbly and in His grace,

I have been searching for over a year to find my passion/ purpose in life. I had read books, read blogs, and taken personality tests. I had searched and search, I had even given up on searching only to return to the search again. But until I heard “Finding Your True North” I had not been able to understand how all of what I was finding tied together. I could finally see why I could do the J-O-B-S in my life well but they held no thrill for me. “Finding Your True North” showed me how to understand who I was deep inside and it challenged me to take the steps needed to find my passion. This is not your ordinary audio book where the people read from a script and put you to sleep rather this is an active intense tool to help you find your passion. Brent Green and Howard Sheppard really do a wonderful job working together on this. They keep the book alive and entertaining even while hitting home the main points. I look forward to finding out more about their upcoming workshop ‘DiscoverYourCalling‘. I know that until I do I will continue following them at PursuingMeaningfulWork.com.
